The purpose of the ACT-1224 test bench is to provide a reliable platform for workshops to test the electric compressor, a critical component of EV/PHEV systems. Since the climate control systems in electric vehicles differ significantly from traditional internal combustion engine systems (higher operating voltage, different control logic), specialized diagnostic tools are required.
The test bench is capable of simulating the operating conditions of the compressor while measuring electrical parameters. With the help of built-in inverters, the device can load the compressor's drive electronics in the nominal range of 140-400 VDC. This enables the verification of the motor winding, sensors (e.g., speed sensors), and control unit communication.
During testing, the system evaluates the compressor's performance (cooling capacity) based on the specified operating parameters. This function is crucial for assessing the compressor's lifespan and efficiency.
Only compressed nitrogen can be used for testing. Nitrogen is the ideal choice because it is an inert gas, does not react with any residual refrigerant present in the system, and is safe during high-voltage electrical tests. It is important to note that the test bench requires an external nitrogen source with a pressure between 6 and 8 Bar. A complete test cycle consumes approximately 100 liters of nitrogen. The system does not have a built-in nitrogen recovery function; the pressurized gas is released into the atmosphere after the test is completed.
Adapted for the modern service environment, the ACT-1224 features an Ethernet port for network connection, facilitating remote access and receipt of software updates. Although software updates are optionally available, basic firmware updates are provided free of charge. The USB Type-C port allows for quick transfer of test results or manual software updating from an external storage medium.
This test bench is the ideal choice for:
EV/PHEV Authorized Repair Shops: For the professional diagnostics of high-voltage systems.
Independent Climate Control Repair Shops: Which are expanding their services towards electric vehicles.
Compressor Refurbishment Units: For quality assurance of repaired or refurbished units.
The Rotrix ACT-1224 combines reliability, precision, and future-oriented technology in a robust device designed for workshop use.
