Capsule Pressure Gauge – Bayonet Type KFM_Bajo

KFM_Bajo bayonet type capsule pressure gauge for precise measurement of gaseous media. Ideal for workshop and industrial diagnostics.

Description

Additional information

KFM_Bajo Bayonet Type Capsule Pressure Gauge

The Leitenberger KFM_Bajo series capsule pressure gauges are used for precise pressure and vacuum measurement in the case of gaseous media. These instruments are manufactured according to the EN 837-3 standard and represent high-quality German manufacturing technology. They are ideal for applications where the pressure system does not contain substances that could clog the measuring mechanism.

General Description and Area of Application

KFM_Bajo type pressure gauges are optimized for measuring the pressure of gaseous media. The design of the instruments ensures reliable operation and long service life, especially thanks to the corrosion-resistant materials in the pressure-sensing parts. The bayonet locking mechanism allows for quick and secure fastening at the measuring point.

Main Features:

  • Szabvány: Complies with EN 837-3 requirements.

  • Area of application: Can only be used for gaseous media that do not cause blockage in the pressure system.

  • Protection: IP 45 protection class.

  • Zero point adjustment: The zero point can be easily fine-tuned using the adjustment screw found in the dial.

  • Window: Standard version features a glass window.

Optional Accessories and Customization Options

In addition to standard products, Leitenberger offers flexible solutions, making it possible to adapt the instruments to specific requirements:

Special Versions (for DS 100)
  1. Laminated Safety Glass Window: For increased mechanical protection and safety.

  2. BLOW OUT Casing: The instrument's back panel has a safety design, which releases the pressure through the back in case of pressure overload, thus protecting the operator and the environment.

  3. Increased Accuracy: Available as an alternative to the standard class 1.6 Class 1.0 accuracy as well (only for DS 100), which requires extreme precision.

Custom Solutions
  • Special Dial Face: Possibility to apply a custom logo, special layout, or other color coding on the dial face.

  • Other Thread Types: In addition to standard BSP thread types, other thread types (e.g., NPT) are available upon request for the connection.

Advantages of the Capsule Measuring Mechanism

Capsule pressure gauges (diaphragm pressure gauges) are particularly suitable for measuring very low pressures, where conventional Bourdon tube gauges no longer provide sufficient resolution or accuracy.

The capsule consists of two opposing, corrugated diaphragms welded together. The gas to be measured enters the capsule, causing the diaphragms to move. This movement causes the indicator to move across the scale via a gear mechanism. Because the measuring element is extremely sensitive to pressure changes, the KFM_Bajo is the ideal choice for accurate measurements in the millibar range.

Quality and Reliability

Leitenberger products follow the principle of „equality made in Germany”. The contact parts made from carefully selected copper alloy ensure long-term reliability when in contact with gaseous media. IP 45 protection guarantees that the instrument is resistant to dust ingress and splashing water, ensuring stable operation even in industrial environments.

This precision instrument is an indispensable tool in refrigeration, air conditioning, and general industrial measurement technology applications, where precise monitoring of extremely low pressure ranges is essential for optimizing processes and maintaining safety.
