THE AMTAB SOLUTION

AMTAB offers unique solutions with its in-house developed dynamic railway scales. The specific design of the equipment provides several other data acquisition possibilities beyond the weighing of moving train sets.

SENSORS

WHEEL DEFECT DETECTION

In addition to measuring all weight variations of train sets, the AMTAB WIM also detects damaged wheels (WDD) as well as senses and warns of an increased derailment risk..

The latter function is most effective at speeds above 35 km/h, as the system detects numerous anomalies and irregularities as dynamic forces. The two main wheel defects, including wheel flat spots and the ovalities, are detected by the system alike.

The AMTAB WDD system on artificial neural networks (deep learning) is based, thanks to which the system continuously improves its detection capabilities throughout its entire lifetime.

AMTAB WIM NETWORK

When the AMTAB WIM is installed at multiple points in the railway network, the data can easily be consolidated into a „Railway Logistics Center”, and as a Maintenance and Logistics Supervision System can be used.

This approach is already quite advanced in a EU-funded railway project, to which AMTAB contributes with its systems.
